Creating Student Engagement in the Classroom Through QR Codes (Do)

How do can you maximize learning experiences utilizing technology? Unlocking the mystery of QR codes and its usefulness in the classroom to further engage student learning will be explored during this session. Participants will examine, create and use QR codes. Examples of QR code activities that are designed around literacy best practices and the CCSS will be shown along with other examples of how to use QR codes in the classroom. Finally, participants will be given time to create QR codes based upon content material they have chosen to bring in.

Inquiring minds want to know! Inquiry projects engage student curiosity and allow students to access information that is important to them. Ellie and Wendy have collaborated on inquiry projects with 1st graders to help them access information in the world around them.
