You have the iPads, your students want to use them, yet you have literacy standards that need to be met. How can you use the iPads and meet the CCS Standards at the same time? This session will introduce you to multiple creation apps, explain some of their varied applications in the classroom, and then give you time to explore those iPad apps. You will envision even more uses for each app as you "take a test drive"! Your new knowledge and comfort level with these amazing "digital dynamos' will enable students to increase their literacy and drive, as they create share-able products that "WOW"!

Feeling like the SMART Board gets the "best of you"? Learn some simple tricks to make instruction go smoothly! This class is for basic learners who have little knowledge about using the SMART Board. We will learn how to use the basic tools, how to find pre-made games and activities and how to incorporate them into your school year.

Now that you embraced Educator Effectiveness and are familiar with the 4 Domains, we will look at a variety of instructional technology resources and tools that can support the Educator Effectiveness model. This session will outline ideas for technology use in each of the four Domains based on the Danielson Model.

Participants will learn how to create a Weebly webpage, how to build pages including photo galleries, blogs and surveys and add links to student webpages. We will also discuss ways to use student websites as a digital portfolio. (Yes! Even early elementary students can do this!) We will be creating and sharing ideas for additional pages.

This session will focus on the standards measuring students' collaborative discussion and presentation skills. What does mastery look like? How can we integrate technology to effectively build collaboration and presentation skills in preK-12 students? Join this session to grow your own understanding of the speaking and listening standards, discover new strategies and resources for implementing the standards, and prepare a presentation task for your students to complete in the coming school year.
